"Global market
leaders in
coaster design and
manufacture"
The Katz Group dates back to 1716, when Johann Georg Katz established a sawmill in Weisenbach, Germany, later producing telegraph poles and railway sleepers.
The first coasters were produced over a hundred years ago in 1903. From this point forward, the coaster became an integral part of Katz' core business. In 1975, Katz moved from letterpress to offset printing and continued to invest in stamping aggregates and fully automated packing lines. In 2001, Katz acquired the Quarmby UK business and Waterlomat in Belgium. Further acquisition followed in the US creating an
international group – The Katz Group.
In 2009, The Koehler Paper Company acquired the group and we now have global market presence.
